Abstract Telephone communication companies are investing US$300 million in the Dominican Republic this year, according to Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel) head José Rafael Vargas. He said that this investment is the consequence of “intense competition†between the telephone services companies in the country, and the entry of two new companies into the national market.
