Briland Modem Fund

Description The Briland Modem, and its not-for-profit foundation The Briland Modem Fund, currently manages and develops public/private sector community technology centers for children, youth and adults in tandem with local government and orivate sector. it has established six community computer centers in the Out Islands of the Bahamas, on Harbour Island; Bluff, Gregory Town, Hatchet Bay, James Cistern, and Rock Sound, Eleuthera; with plans to continue such center development throughout the southern Out Islands of the Bahamas in tandem with local government councils on each island and corporate sponsors IBM Nassau, Royal Bank of Canada, Rotary Club East Nassau, Rotary Club International, Amoury Company and Higgs Construction. The Briland Modem Fund and Rotary Club East Nassau recently launched the WIN/Wired Island Network, The Brilan Modem runs an online portal for and by Harbour Island and North Eleuthera, Bahamas.
