Brief Description |
The aim of the Community Technology Programmes is to to help transform community centers into resource centers at which access to Internet facilities and training in the new information technology can be provided on a community basisis based at various community centers across Barbados with a goal to providing effective access to technology and the Internet, economically to people who otherwise wouldn't have access to computers and education in a community-based setting. The programme coordinators ensure that careful planning in the programmes offered and close monitoring of the outcomes obtain value for money.
In general CTP offers a number of training modules within each community consisting of basic training in the following:
• Introduction to Windows;
• Introduction to E-mail;
• Introduction to Keyboarding;
• Introduction to Word; and
• Computer Graphics.
