Brief Description |
Local governments, non-governmental organizations and communities are increasingly realising the need to utilise new information communication technology if they are to be sustainable in the information economy. Using ICT in local governance can improve local management and administration, and also lead to greater participation and transparency in local government. The certificate in e-Governance course is aimed at interested and appropriate people’s in governmental and non-governmental agencies and organizations in the Caribbean. It is designated to improve the knowledge, skills and capacities of such people in the use of ICT in governance and government. The Course Content The course comprises 4 modules: Module 1: Local electronic administration Module 2: Local electronic government Module 3: Electronic democracy Module 4: Future directions Entry requirements Applicants to the Certificate in e-Governance are required to have: 1. Satisfactory completed secondary education; 2. A minimum of two years’ relevant professional work experience 3. Proficiency in English |
